The obverse of this fascinating 1 kilo silver coin bears the coat of arms of the Principality of Andorra, name of the issuing country, coin denomination and year of issue. An elegant floral design decorates the lower part of the Andorra silver coin obverse.
The reverse design of this wonderful silver coin is decorated with miniature colour reproduction of Raphael painting “La Madonna di San Sisto”, which depicts the Madonna and Child accompanied by the Pope Julius II, St. Barbara and the two adorable angels at the bottom. At the top of the reverse is the inscription indicating the name of the great artist. The original of “Sistine Madonna” is currently represented in the Gallery of Old Masters in Dresden.
