  The obverse of the 25th Anniversary silver coin shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, taken from the coin’s first release in 1988. There are also indications representing the face value of the coin, the commemorative years “1988” and “2013,” and the name of the Queen.

  The iconic reverse design depicts two small maple leaves overlapping at the bottom of one large gorgeous sugar maple leaf. During 25 years the coin’s reverse design has concertedly depicted the emblematic maple leaf – a Canadian icon that perseveres to be the most favourite for collectors around the world.
