   The obverse side of South Africa Gold has the traditional mint of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by legends explaining the regent's name, the year of issue, the coin denomination and the country where it was emitted. You can see the golden beads both on the obverse and reverse sides, as the capsule insert is absolutely transparent.

    The mintage of this item is 999 pieces, each made of the purest possible silver (.999). The upper half of the reverse represents two images that associate with South African nature: a tiger and a savanna landscape with a big tree in the middle. Both images add a slight savage note to the overall impression about the coin, especially when the reverse comes displayed in the special clamshell case with glossy black lining.
