The Liberian Coat of Arms occupies the obverse of the silver coin. It features a coastal landscape with a ship arriving in Liberia bringing the freed slaves from America. The national motto of Liberia ‘The love of liberty brought us here’ appears on a scroll above the shield. The reverse features a realistic colored image of the Shinkansen known as the fastest, most powerful and most expensive trains to run on Japan's high-speed rail network.
