Another stunning giant coin has been presented by Niue as the second issue of the Bible Series. Fifteen rimless silver bars of .999 silver make up one coin unit replicating 'The Mystic Nativity', a painting by the Italian Renaissance master Sandro Botticelli. The unique set has got the mintage limited to only 300 pieces worldwide.

The obverse side of each coin bears the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II surrounded by the inscriptions denoting the Queen’s name, the name of the issuing country as well as the issuing year. The face value of the coins and metal fineness are also indicated on the obverse.

The spectacular reverse design of the silver unit features the reproduction of "The Mystic Nativity", in which Botticelli addresses the mysteries of Christ.  Painted in Italy around 1500-1501, it is not a picture to be enjoyed through the eye alone, but a literary picture to be read and slowly unriddled in the light. Kept in the National Gallery of London, Boticcelli’s painting has long been referred to as “The Mystic Nativity” because of its mysterious symbolism.
