Ukraine 1998 10 Hryvnia's 100th Anniversary of Ascania Nova Reserve Proof Silver Coin

The jubilee coin is dedicated to 100 Years of foundation of "Ascania Nova" Reserve, the first in Ukraine steppe reserve, the founder of which was Fridrich Falz-Fain.

On the coin obverse there is a depiction of the Small State Emblem of Ukraine against a background of a steppe landscape, combined from some species of local flora and fauna. Above the State Emblem, there is an inscription: УКРАЇНА and 1998. Under the picture, there are the following designations: 10 ГРИВЕНЬ - coin face value (in two lines); 31,1- coin weight (at the left); Ag 925 (at the right).

On the coin reverse there is a composition, combined from a depiction of a stone steppe idol and a dynamic group of animals-inhabitants of the Reserve. Above the picture, around the circumference there is an inscription: АСКАНІЯ-НОВА. At the composition lower part, there is a depiction of Falz-Fain's family emblem and a circumference inscription: 100 РОКІВ.
