Issued as an extension to the great “Gladiators” series. This precious 2 oz silver coin features Hoplomachus, a kind of soldier whose main type of weapons were a spear and a sword. The name hoplomachus means “armored fighter” - a type of gladiator in ancient Rome, armed to resemble a Greek hoplite (a heavily armed warrior of ancient Greece).
The coin is a very successful combination of antique finish, high relief and incredible details. The reverse represents a Hoplomachus, one of the most difficult role for a warrior that keeping the defensive position with his heavy impervious armor. The coin comes with a presentation packaging with a CoA inside. The mintage is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide.
