Mongolia is one of the most exotic destinations for travelers from all over the world. This newly issued silver coin is dedicated to Mongolia’s national bird – the Saker Falcon. This beautiful coin is the sixth issue of the immensely popular Wildlife Protection series started in 2007.
The obverse represents the composition which consists of the Bank of Mongolia emblem and several inscriptions indicating the face value of the coin, the rate of silver purity and the country of issue. The mintage of the coin is limited to only 2500 pieces, each made of pure .999 silver with antique finish.
The reverse side is what makes all coins in the Wildlife Protection series unique. The coin designers took the maximal advantage of smartminting technology. The relief of the Saker Falcon is absolutely amazing – it may even seem like you are touching the feathers of a real animal! To intensify the impression the animals eyes are made of two shiny Swarovski crystals embedded into the reverse. This side of the coin also contains original legends denoting the name of the species, that of the series and the year of issue. All previous issues sold out!
