This awesome coin is the next step towards conquering the third dimension of the coin universe! The first spherical coin impresses with its unique concept combining the highest craftsmanship and high-end decorations. Struck from 7 oz silver 999 with antique finish, the coin has got one of the most unusual coin shapes – a sphere. The worldwide mintage is only 1007 pieces.
Since this coin hasn’t got any obverse or reverse, most of the inscriptions are struck at its top and bottom. They include: the face value of the coin, its weight, metal fineness, issuing year and country.
To create such a masterpiece, the minters have implemented the most innovative solutions into the technological process. Thanks to a specially created 6-element die, they succeeded to bring to life the ideally spherical coin with intricate relief images. Based on the beautiful hand-drawn XVII-century map created by the outstanding Dutch cartographer Willem Janszoon Blaeu, this spherical coin combines past and present – the Seven New Wonders of the World are marked on the historical map with black Swarovski crystals. Housed in a specially designed box, the coin will tempt even the most demanding collectors! The Certificate of Authenticity is also provided.
