This stunning 1 kg coin belongs to the brand new series that is called Majestic Wildlife. In this edition, it is a deer.
The deer is believed to be the king of wildlife. Like the lion or snake, the deer symbolizes different things and there are many legends and myths about him. In some cultures, this animal is even considered as sacred with the spirit of gentleness and softness. So in general, deer are associated with kindness and are connected to the gods. The coin has an extremely large diameter – 180 mm that helps to better render the majesty of the depicted deer. A unique and artistic touch is created thanks to the rare usage of ornamentation. The low mintage is limited to 199 pieces for global distribution.
The reverse of the coin portrays a deer’s face in the background that looks out of the woods. The artist of the coin added one great detail to the coin – the leaves that adorn the antlers of the deer and the butterflies that fly around them. In the bottom of the coin, there is the silhouette of the deer and the silhouette of some other animals on either side of it. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
