This breathtaking black coin is the first issue of the Golden Enigma Edition and features the Walking Liberty in gold and all filigree details. Struck from 1 oz silver .999, the coin is completely plated with Ruthenium and partly with 24K gold. The worldwide mintage is limited to 5 000 pieces.
The obverse of the coin bears the relief of heraldic eagle with a shield, holding an olive branch in the right claw and arrows in the left. Above the eagle, there are several rows of stars, symbolizing the states. The face value of the coin, its weight and issuing country are also indicated on the obverse.
Depicted on the reverse of the coin, there is a relief figure of the walking Liberty wrapped in folds of the flag, with her right hand stretched out and branches of laurel and oak in her left hand. The Walking Liberty design is one of the most celebrated and well received designs of all US Coins. The sunrise at the background accomplishes the striking and iconic image of the Liberty to grace the new black coin. Besides, the coin is coated with silver-gray Ruthenium, one of the platinum metals that looks like platinum but is rarer. Housed in a black luxury box, the Walking Liberty coin is a desirable collector’s item.
