Cook Islands

The Cook Islands are 15 volcanic islands and coral atolls scattered over 770,000 square miles in the South Pacific Ocean between French Polynesia and Fiji. Named after Captain Cook, who explored them in 1773, the islands were once  home to tribes of mixed Polynesian ancestry. The Polynesian lifestyle on these islands means a calm and carefree way of living, with a paradise-like backdrop of blue skies, white sand and warm seas. The country thrives on tourism being the leading economic industry, followed by offshore banking, pearls, marine and fruit exports.

As a coin issuer, the Cook Islands are known for their extremely successful Masterpieces of Art and Windows of Heaven series as well as exquisite Luxury Line and Precious 6 in 1 coins.
