General Questions


Question 1. Can I redeem a collector coin at a bank or use it as a currency to purchase goods or services?

Collector coins are in fact legal tender. This pertains to the fact that they can be used to purchase services or goods at face value. However, a bank or a business has every right to not accept the collector coin at its face value. This is because collector coins are not circulating legal tender. Banks and businesses are obligated to accept circulating legal tender only, but not non-circulating ones like a collector coin. It is up to the entity’s discretion whether or not a coin should be accepted in exchange for goods or services.


Question 2. Where can I learn more about coins?

It is relatively easy to find information about coins. There are many websites that provide comprehensive knowledge about collecting coins. All you need to do is search for information about coin collection on the internet and you’ll find many great sites. You may even refer to online encyclopedias for detailed information regarding coins.


Question 3. How can I find a dealer?

Finding a dealer is very easy. You can go to the Professional Numismatists Guild or PNA website and locate a dealer there. The PNA has maintained guidelines for dealers certified by them and regulate them accordingly. However, you may not find a PNA dealer locally. If this is the case, then you can opt for an ANA or American Numismatist Guild dealer. There are directories for each type of dealers on the PNA and ANA website respectively.


Question 4. How much is my coin/collection worth?

The price and value of a coin or a collection are two separate things. There are times when the coin is worth a lot more than its actual price. The value of a coin depends on quite a few factors. If a coin is made of a precious metal, the weight and purity of the metal used will contribute towards its value. Moreover, another important factor involved in a coin or collection’s value is market demand and availability. If a particular coin or collection is rare or has a high demand and limited supply, it will be worth more. There are many websites you can visit and get the value of your coin or collection. You’ll need to enter details regarding the coin and you will be provided with an approximate value.


Question 5. How do I become an authorized dealer?

Becoming an authorized coin dealer is quite simple, but requires hard work. The first step towards becoming an authorized dealer is getting to know about coins. In addition you will need to get immense knowledge about numismatic practices. Grading coins is an art that you will need to get a command over. Once you are well aware of coins, you will need to join an organization. The most renowned organizations are PNA and ANA. As an authorized dealer you will have to operate under the guidelines set by these organizations. Such organizations can be helpful in expanding your trading network.


Question 6. How do I keep my coins clean?

The best way to keep a coin clean is to hold it by its edge. This prevents any scratches from appearing onto the surface. Moreover, you should keep the coins in a collector’s case. This will prevent coins from getting dirty in the first place. Make sure you never clean a coin. Cleaning a coin may disrupt its finish and decrease its value. When a coin is made in a die, it has a certain finish on its surface. If this finish is spoiled, the value of the coin will be affected.


Question 7. How can I get a catalogue and keep myself updated on special offers?

There are many websites that sell coin catalogues. These catalogues will guide you about rare coins, recommended buys and special offers. You can simply search for the catalogue online and purchase it. There are certain websites that even provide catalogues for free. You can even consult fellow coin collectors for detailed information about where you can buy catalogues. However, the easiest option is to search for coin catalogues on the internet.


Ordering and Shipping Questions


Question 1. Do you have a minimum order?

The best thing about ordering with us is that there is no requirement for a minimum order amount. You can place an order according to your convenience.


Question 2. Which types of payments do you accept?

There are multiple payment options available for your convenience. One of the most common methods for online payment is PayPal, which we accept. However, if you do not have a PayPal account, you can draft a bank order, which will also work for us. We also accept credit cards so you can make your payments using your card as well.


Question 3. Can I change my order after my order is confirmed?

If you happen to change your mind about the coin you want to purchase, we can look into the possibility of changing your order.  All you need to do is contact us via our chat or email us at [email protected] and provide the order ID. Once we receive your query, we will look into the possibility of revising your order. A representative from TWC will get back to you with the details as soon as possible. In most cases the order is easily changed.


Question 4. How can I update my address, telephone or email information?

In the event you have changed your address or contact details, you can easily have them updated. You need to log in to your account and choose the Address Book section. It includes your billing, shipping and additional addresses and each of them can be easily changed. Be sure to update your address and contact details before submitting a new order.


Question 5. How long will it take to get my package?

In most cases the package is delivered within 3-10 business days. However, depending on unavoidable circumstances, weather conditions, etc., it may take longer. We would really appreciate your patience in this regard.


Question 6. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally, so you can feel free with placing the order from every corner of the world.


Question 7. How do I ship to another person?

Shipping to another person is extremely easy. When you are in the process of checkout, you will be prompted for an address and your contact details. All you have to do is provide the details of the person you want the item to be shipped to in the Shipping Address field. This way the shipment will be made directly to whoever you wish. Just make sure to double-check the details before submitting to avoid any inconvenience.


Returns and Cancellations


What is your return policy?

TWC has a very friendly return policy. In the event you wish to return the item, you can do so within 30 (thirty) days from the date on which you received your order. The return policy only applies to customers who notify our Customer Service Department by e-mail [email protected] within 5 (five) days from the date on which the item was received.

You do not need to provide a reason for returning, but you do have to ensure that the items are sent back to us in the original packaging. Please ensure that the items are packaged safely so that they do not get damaged in transit.

Once we receive the items at our premises, you will be reimbursed within 30 days. Please note that the 30 days begin from the date the items are received by us as opposed to the date you shipped them. Do keep in mind that there are no charges for returns if the goods were returned in the condition that you received. Compensation is only necessary if the goods were damaged.


Can I cancel my order?

Cancelling your order is also quite convenient. In the event you wish to cancel, you can do so without providing any reason in writing or otherwise. You can cancel your order until it wasn’t dispatched via e-mail [email protected] stating word CANCEL and your order ID. If the goods have already been shipped, you will have to return them in order to cancel the order. In such a case, you will be refunded in full as long as the items are not damaged or contaminated. We don’t apply any additional fee for canceling not dispatched orders.
