Stefan Wyszyński was a Polish statesman and religious figure, priest, bishop, cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, and archbishop of Gniezno and Warsaw. Besides, he assumed the title of Primate of Poland. He is a very important figure still today and in honour of him, the Polish parliament declares 2021 the Year of Cardinal Wyszynski.

This commemorative silver piece has a timeless design. The reverse of the coin has a wooden insert in the shape of a cross. The obverse of the coin contains the symbolic portrait of Stefan Wyszyńki, his signature, and the Sanctuary of Czestochowa in the background.
